For your Odisha Postal GDS selection, here are the important documents you must bring for verification, listed one by one:

  1. 10th Class Marksheet

  2. 10th Pass Certificate

  3. Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC)

  4. EWS Certificate (If applicable)

  5. Aadhaar Card

  6. Medical Certificate

  7. PwD Certificate (If applicable)

  8. Transgender Certificate (If applicable)

  9. Recent Passport Size Photographs

  10. Printout of Online Application Form

  11. Two Sets of Self-Attested Photocopies

Here are the most common rejection points you should avoid:

  • Marks Mismatch

  • Incorrect Grade-to-Percentage Conversion

  • Spelling Errors in Name or Father’s Name

  • Date of Birth (DOB) Mismatch

  • State Format Caste Certificate (Instead of Central)

  • Not Studied Local Language (Odia)

  • Missing Original Documents

  • Private Hospital Medical Certificate

  • Duplicate or Multiple Registrations

  • Expired EWS/OBC Certificates

  • Unclear or Mismatched Photo/Signature

Pro Tip For Selection :

  • Apply to Rural Divisions: Choose interior districts like Koraput, Malkangiri, or Nuapada where cut-offs are significantly lower than urban hubs.

  • Accuracy is Key: Double-check your marks down to the decimal; even a 0.01% mismatch with your certificate leads to instant rejection.

  • Odia Language: Ensure you have Odia as a subject in your 10th marksheet, as it is a mandatory requirement for the Odisha circle.

  • Central Format Certificates: Get your Caste or EWS certificates in the Central Government format specifically, as state-level formats are often rejected.

  • Division Choice: Research the previous year's "lowest selection" for specific post offices to find low-competition zones.

  • Document Readiness: Keep two sets of self-attested photocopies ready the moment the list drops to avoid the last-minute rush at the division office.

  • Stay Updated: Regularly check the official portal and your SMS/Email, as the window for document verification is very short.
